    A necessity for my analogue train set

    Tempting as DCC may be, I prefer some R&R time away from screens. Flicking point switches to re-route a distant train sustains the illusion of a tiny world, and extends your reach well beyond your humble arms. One switch can easily operate multiple points motors, which commonly need to work in tandem to swap track circuits. The switches can slot together to share one power lead. You may want to get some terminals to ensure your points motor wires don't short circuit inside the switch. Other designs are available, but I find these rather satisfying to use, and reminiscent of the genuine article.
