Exact OEM replacement for my Briggs engine. Briggs & Stratton could have designed a better gas tank in the first place. I never had to replace a gas tank before on any of the machines I have owned so it was disappointed that this one cracked and leaked. That said, I was delighted to find this item on eBay for a quick fix. It got me back in business.

I had a 20 yr old wood splitter with a Briggs engine on it and finally after years in the sun and weather, freezing cold of winter as well as 100+ days of summer to be exact, the gas tank finally developed a split and I couldn't put more than a pint of gas in without it leaking all over the place. I dealt with it that way for a couple of years and finally got this one, hating the price tag of $60+ for a piece of plastic! Well, it was literally a 15 min job swapping out the old for the new and it fit perfect. I even used the old hose and clamp and everything is like new once again. Splitting wood is still a PITA, but it's easier to not catch on fire now. LoL

Factory part so it fit like a glove. Even came with B&S sticker. These tanks apparently leak if the user runs into a solid object, and splits the top section from the bottom. This is a perfect replacement and not bad price at all.

The gas tank on my parents' wood splitter was leaking at the seam, so needed to be replaced. Ordered this one up and it was a perfect fit. We're good to go!
