About this product

Product Information

Bruce Lee was immortalized in his films as a martial arts master and first-class entertainer. ENTER THE DRAGON was the first martial arts film that American audiences had witnessed, and was actually produced in both Hong Kong and Hollywood. Interestingly, ENTER THE DRAGON also set the stage for non-traditional, culturally specific narratives to make their way into Hollywood.Bruce Lee plays a kung fu master recruited by a foreign government to infiltrate the island of a megalomaniac martial artist named Han. Han's bodyguard is also found to have killed Lee's sister, giving Lee a personal vendetta to fight for. The Hall of Mirrors sequence towards the end of the film is now famous, as are Lee's incredibly gymnastic martial arts abilities. This trend-setting film holds up as an entertaining, engaging action movie, more than 30 years later.

The Way Of The Intercepting Fist

I purchased this deluxe set as a replacement for my aging one. It has value in part because of the extra material (two hand-crafted documentaries). It has 5.1 Doby Digital sound too. The film itself will remain classic. Looking back, a lot of the scenes are dated to the period, however the fight scenes are impeccable. Han is a worthy villain to Lee's formidable skills.

  • A Great Way to Experience a Classic

Bruce Lee was arguably the most important martial arts figure in the 20th century. You may debate his style, techniques, or personality, but there is no doubt that he, almost singlehandedly, raised the consciousness of the Western World to the Martial Arts in the late 1960s-early 1970s. That may be due to his extraordinary talent as an actor, which matched his extraordinary talent as a martial artist, and which was only fully realized once, in this classic film. In this 2004 2-DVD set, you get a crisply remastered version of the film itself, along with a sizeable batch of bonus features detailing his rise from a child actor up through what was to be his next great work, "The Game of Death". That flawed movie was assembled, after his death, using what footage already existed for it, dubs, ...

  • Enter the Dragon (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Set, Special Edition)

Excellent purchase! Great priced DVD set. Quality excellent. Great DVD set loaded with information. Much more than I expected. Bruce Lee talking about a variety of things. Interview with wife, Brandon Lee, friends, co-stars, producers etc. Too much to list. A must have for the true Bruce Lee fan. Nothing to dislike about this DVD, loved it all. Bought because of combination of price, fast shipping promised & delivered & interest in subject matter. The second DVD filled in a lot of blanks about Bruce Lee that I did not know or was unsure of & the first had the in my opinion best Bruce Lee movie ever, plus some extra's on that DVD as well. The movie contained great martial art action & show cased the incredible martial arts genius & talent that only Bruce Lee had. After watching both DVD's I ...

  • Bruce Lee's last complete movie is also his greatest accomplishment. It will stand as the best martial arts film ever made and cement Lee's legend.

This is a great collected edition of Bruce Lee's finest work. This 30th anniversary set will make a very nice addition for any Bruce Lee fan. The only thing that could have made it better is the inclusion of the digital copy.

  • Enter the Dragon (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Set, Special Edition). is the best!

This 2-Disc Set was great. In addition to the movie being good, the 2-Disc Set has lots of interviews of people talking about Bruce Lee, such as, his wife, his son Brandon, his brother, and co-workers. It has footage of Bruce Lee in interviews, on movie sets as a child and as a adult, funeral footage, family pictures, etc. If you are a Bruce Lee fan, this is a great DVD to have in your collection. You learn alot about Bruce and you get to see footage that didn't make it to the movie screen. You learn how Bruce really died--which was disappointing to hear. You would expect that someone who was into physical fitness and morality wouldn't be smoking Cannabis and cheating on his wife. The smoking killed him (caused his brain to swell) and the mistress reported it. Karma! Overall, this was a ...
