Processors that fit this dual-CPU motherboard can have the clock speed ranging from 2 GHz to 2.7 GHz. Although the Apple G5 Power Mac motherboard is a dual-processor logic board, it also works with only one processor. CPUs installed in the Apple 820-1592-A can be either dual- or quad-core. Overall, this motherboard has many options when it comes to processors, making it a versatile choice. When the logic board is first installed, it requires thermal calibration so it can use the cooling systems properly and prevent overheating. Thermal calibration on this dual-CPU motherboard is done with a special calibration DVD. A heatsink and fan can also be included in the motherboard’s structure. The Apple G5 Power Mac motherboard weighs 6 lbs.

    Should I need another part again, I will not hesitate to purchase again.

    I bought the Apple 820-1592-A Motherboard to replace my original board in my old Power Mac G5 (June 2004). I received it in its described condition & well packed. I swapped out the faulty board & my computer works like new!
