Of course not made to Lay on the exhaust, it looks good, not being much heat coming from the motor, I still have to be aware of the rear head exhaust burning my 🦵 leg...Wrap around exhaust tape yields no good due to the pipes curvature coming off the head ~ ~ ~ it's only $$$$$ 🤑💰 money, thou the tan color matches bags & seat, I'd return it thou the problem would still exist & It Does Look Unique😉🩸💞💯✔️.....such as I......LIVE & LEARN & ❤️🔥🔥🥵🤥 BURN!!!

Correct - the leather heat shield does not go over the exhaust pipe(s). Exhaust systems get very hot and most things like leather will get burned up by them. Not sure a neutral review is in order because you do not like how the Indian routes their factory exhaust off the engine. That is really between you and them. Glad you like the color, our artwork and the part itself.
