it was the wrong part but its not your fault . i had no way to verify it since its on a 1951 toro lawn tractor . i was desperate so i took a shot . the part is nice quality with good packaging an shipping was fast . i ended up taking son=me old briggs starters apart and was able to modify the sprng to work . thanks anyway
