    Of All Bird Books--This Is One You'll Use Many Times!!!

    Mattie Sue Athan is very well-known regarding Parrot behavior--I already purchased her Quaker book when I bought my Quaker. I had a mean Quaker & Nanday Conure until I started reading up on Ms. Athan's books. I am happy to say that my Quaker is tame--he lets me give him kisses & hugs. I'm still working on my Nanday, but we've come a long way in the past 3 weeks. He went from not coming out of his cage, to stepping-up on my finger. It is difficult enough to understand human behavior as it is & we all assume birds behave the same way we do--they just don't according to Ms. Athan!! To try to tame a parrot when you are unaware of their behavior patterns is like trying to swim upstream. Now that I've educated myself through Ms. Athan's books as well as Internet reading & talking to other ...

    M S Athan is my favorite. This guide is very informative, accurate and honest. Her experience is entertaining and educational. This is a must-have for your bird library!
