Fox and MGM spent a fortune and a giant 3- D camera to make this technicolor production! Objects really come out of the screen and better than any 3-D conversions of today by computers! The new technology has forgotten what 3-D is supposed to do!!! Things come out in front of your face. Thankfully, Gog only played one week in 3-D in Hollywood, then 2-D prints were made. the Left print all but disappeared but a badly faded Left print was found in England- they color corrected it, it was in sync and we have a beautiful 3- D real Movie! Let's teach these conversion companies how to do 3-D for today!!!! Sadly, Gog was seen in flat B& W prints for years until this new Left eye Print discovery. The team who restored this should win an Oscar for bringing back real 3-D! Look at the extras for more info !!! Read full review

I love 3D.. have over 200 3D titles..love classic movies..this should have stayed on the cutting floor and lost in 3D forever.. some depth.. some wear the same outfit through out the entire movie.. yuck..if you want some great classic 3D.. do Kiss me Kate.. it's wonderful..plus you can sing and dance. It's also cheaper in price..

Generally considered a "B Movie" Gog provides one of the best 3D experiences available on Blu-Ray. The story takes place in a Top Secret research facility where scientists are preparing to send men into space. The scientists are convinced men can not survive space travel, so in one lab they experiment on freezing and reviving humans for spaceflight, while another lab works on 2 robots - Gog and Magog who whould pilot the space ship while the astronauts are in suspended animation. The site is controlled by The Brain - a super computer (probably ran about 32 Megs LOL), but things start going wrong, and the scientists are being killed. Gog was originally shot and released in 3D, using the dual 35mm system. This BluRay is a Kino restoration of the best existing print of the film, there are virtually no faults in the film transfer. Definately NOT a rip from a VHS or 16mm! The 3D effects are excellent. All characters and fixtures have true 3D depth, and there are a few jump-into-the-audience sequences. The movie is a bit hokey, the "science" is bad, the circus acrobats demonstrating weightlessness are pretty funny, and the robots are pretty ridiculous looking, but if you're looking for 3D effects I can't think of many better films. Maybe next Kino will do Robot Monster! ;)Read full review

Since I was a child, now 75, I have liked 3D movies and am sorry there is not a niche of people who demand 3D tv’s movies etc to be available to be able to be purchased on a continuing basis. The fact there is basically no or very limited hardware is a tragedy. 3D printers, 3D Pictures (photographs) are being made says there is a strong interest in the format. I would like to see this all change to a market available again. You have stereo and mono sound, black and white and color pictures, Let’s hope! Jim Cook
