I've had this book on my wish/watch list for over a year, and finally gave in and bought a copy, because "the price never seems to go down". Well, that's because the book is worth every penny! Author Margaret Stump delivers a very well balanced menu for every need: A no-nonsense list of necessary and desirable tools, basic weaving instructions, a small but delightful set of weaving patterns, joining suggestions for all kinds of needs. Even for me who has been doing weavies for a while it answered a few questions. And then comes the majority of the book with patterns and project suggestions, ranging from bags, afghans, toys, board games, and more. The presentation of the projects goes beyond itself and inspires to become creative: I caught myself several times thinking "Oh, if I combine this method with that method, I can do this!" I've also been encouraged by the use of multiple different frame sizes for the same project. Lastly, seeing the effect of different yarns impressed me and made me try yarns that I didn't thought were suitable for the little loom. The projects are easy enough for beginners, thanks to the good explanations, yet inspiring for long-term weavers. The only disappointment I experienced is that there is no alphabet pattern provided for the project "Baby Name Banner". The author points to other (good) resources for cross stitch patterns, but if the reader likes the project pictured, and the baby's name is not "Aubree", it will require research outside the book. I think it would have been nice to have a complete alphabet of the same style letters in the book, so that one can get started right away. Besides the weaving projects, several things encourage the reader to DIY projects, from making your own ball winder to making your own looms, complete with full-size patterns and resource lists. The photos are clear and concise in supporting the instructions, and on top of that a scrumptious delight to look at. A well rounded book with good instructions and ideas ... well done ... Thank you Margaret Stump!Read full review

This book has lots of ideas for things you can make with your pin looms, including many I would never have tought of. It's a great source to get your creative juices flowing - well worth purchasing if you enjoy weaving on pin looms. Don't be put off by the number of different-sized looms the projects call for, because you can find instructions online how to weave a smaller rectangle, or even a triangle, on a square loom. Fun stuff.
