I have owned it for several months now. I have only read the first two chapters (Nonlinear Optical Susceptibility and Wave Equation Description of Nonlinear Optical Interactions). Gives overview of all topics, and also goes in depth in some examples (e.g. calculating the index of refraction of uniaxial crystals in the extraordinary polarization.). Very readable. Gives brief quantum description with the classical description which I found very helpful as I have a physics background, not EE background. Also has an entire section of quantum mechanical derivation of this phenomena (from the looks of it, not for the faint of heart!). Please note that this review only touches the surface of this book. More good reviews on amazon.com, for example.
