  • Army Of Darkness review

I decided to buy this because it is the 3rd movie in the 'Evil Dead' series. It's back with the amazing Bruce Campbell as he is taken into 1300AD and is sent on a quest to locate the Book Of The Dead. This movie makes much more sense if you ahve seen the first and the second movies to this trilogy (The Evil Dead and The Evil Dead 2,) so I would not suggest watching this first. I am a little disappointed that the storie lines has slight changes AGAIN, but it is still just as entertaining.

  • Groovy!

Army of Darkness is the third in the Evil Dead Series Starring Bruce Campbell. It is also the first one that Campbell truly embraces the campi-ness of the series. Directed by Sam Raimi (Spiderman 1,2,3), Ash (Campbell) gets sent back in time where he has to retrieve the Book of the Dead and return life to normalcy. This movie had the biggest budget of the three films and it shows in the "graphics" if you can it that... Overall this would have to be one of my favorite Bruce Campbell films!

  • Groovy Cult Classic

OK, so AoD is one of those B-movies you either love or "don't get". It is basically the 3rd in Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" series. While "Evil Dead II" was little more than a remake of "Evil Dead"; AoD takes Ash (Bruce Campbell) back in time to battle deadites in a world of knights, magic and castles. BC is spot-on, the effects are of course dated - but that adds to the charm.

  • A Classic in the Evil Dead Trilogy!

Sometimes you just can't catch a break from something "evil" following you. This is my personal favorite in the series. A bit more humorous and slapstick. Be sure to watch the alternate ending in the extras section, it's an unexpected, but believable outcome. If you are a fan of legendary B movie actor Bruce Campbell (Sam Axe on Burn Notice), then you sure don't want to miss this.

The price, the amount of time it took to be delivered was fine.....but, in the box the disc was unplayable. Our DVD player said the disc was "unplayable". I could not find where my receipt was so I did not make the effort to contact anyone (that, I assume responsibility for). If another disc could be sent my rating would change to "excellent". I'm not sure how to go about doing that . Jim Winegrower jbwitkower@embarqmail.com
