Any Waylon fan would love this book. Even non-fans would enjoy it if they like the history of the man and the movement... you know, that "outlaw" thing. He was great even before that, but that sure did put him on the map! I've read it 3 times and probably will again. Seems like I see something new each time. REAL fans will want to read Shooter's and Jessi's books, too. You only need to hear the name WAYLON JENNINGS and you think of great music, a very gifted man with a few weaknesses, foibles and faults, doubts and fears, but a heart of gold. He doesn't hide anything about himself, just sets the record straight. He says himself that he lived two lives in the space of his time because he put so much into it. While you're at it, go back and listen to his music, from beginning to end. The best music library I know of.Read full review

If you've ever considered yourself a Waylon fan , It's a Must Read then Re-Read. I was blessed to see him with Jessi & Jerry Reed in 83 then again in 91 and received a quick hello and handshake. To know the music is to know the man and he doesn't go around the barn explaining himself. Also read his son Terry's Tribute "Tales Of My Outlaw Dad" Signed MPB of SC

Ever since I was a young child I've always loved and admired Waylon Jenning's talent and his persona. If you enjoy his music such as I do then you'll certainly enjoy WAYLON-An autobiography by Waylon Jennings and Lenny Kaye. Waylon tells stories of his childhood in Littlefield Texas, his friendship with Buddy Holly, his marriages, drug use, recovery, life on the road and everything in between. Waylon truly was and still is the Nashville Rebel.
