    Grueling

    A grueling film that appears to be shot from a shaky hand held camera. it is a tale of one mans efforts to bury his son in the most horrific environment. It perhaps gives us an idea of what it might have been like to be a victim of the holocaust but in no way is it entertaining. A hard watch but perhaps considered necessary so as not to forget these atrocities.

    A 'You Are There' Masterpiece.

    It's such a distinctive and well made movie, concentrating on the central character from the first time he comes into focus, and staying with him throughout. The fact horrible things are going on around him, only half glimpsed, makes them more impactful for the viewer.

    It's a one watch movie. The premise of the story is quite simple, so I won't spoil it. It's set in a death camp, so far as the atmosphere is concerned the film works very well. Does it add anything to what we already know? Maybe not.
