    Waffen - SS Its Uniforms, Insignia and Equipment 38-45

    Having been published in 1971, and reprinted twice in 1972, there are probably newer books that contain updated material. This book is a concise overview of their history, along with black and white photographs and few color plates. Color plates contain uniform drawings, along with plates showing the different camoflage patterns. These can be used to paint SS uniforms for Flames of War. Which is what I was hoping for when I purchased this book. The equipment mentioned in the title, aren't tanks, vehicles, or weapons but rather the personal equipment carried by the men. If you get a chance to pick this book up, do so. It is worthwhile for military modellers and wargamers.
