One of my favourite characters in the Ace Attorney games has always been the Prosecutor, Miles Edgeworth. He is cool, calculated, intelligent, and for a pixel guy, quite fetching in all the right ways Wink Wink Nudge Nudge. The fact that he would get his own spin off game(s) made me exceptionally happy from the start! I was worried, though, that somehow he would lose his awesomeness by being the main character focus. My concerns were obliterated to smithereens when this game came into my possession! The banter is still on-point, he's still quite cool, calculated, and intelligent! And yes, for a pixel guy, still rather fetching! I like the change up of the story to include the animations as well, and the new system of deduction within the environment? Excellent. The plot moves forward quickly as you figure out the different ways to investigate, and the cases are interesting, intriguing, and just plain fun! This game, along with all of the Ace Attorney games, has yet to disappoint me! This series is definitely one to get into, and even though (as of writing this) the second Edgeworth game is not out in the North American region, this is still worth purchasing and playing. All of them are. Go buy them all and play them all, and write a myriad of your own reviews! Don't forget to include something about Edgeworth's "fetching pixel goodness" because that's just funny. Now go, my little snowflakes... go.. go out into the world and buy the games. Especially this one. Read full review

They say this game didn't do as good as the main games, well I call lies on that. despite you not being in court it's pretty fun to play and the characters are still color full as in the main games. I will admit at times the contradictions can be a little to vauge at times and the games can seem a little too forgiving but it's a heck of a lot better than buying a new game that is incomplete were the creators nickle and dime you for the rest of it. hadn't finished it yet, but looking forward to. so far I give it a 9 out of 10

Shipped quickly, cartridge is in excellent condition and works perfectly. The graphics are surprisingly good on my 3DS XL, considering the game is intended for a normal sized DS. The soundtrack is also very good. This has quickly become my favorite game in the Ace Attorney series.

Being a fan to the Ace Attorney series, I haven't had a chance to play the Investigations game as I never picked it up when it first debuted. But I finally got it to see if it was any good, and my expectations were met. There's the assumption that it isn't as good as the Phoenix series, but I personally don't think that's right (haha, get it?). The game play IS different, as you're running around instead of just point and clicking to go places, and since this is a game specifically designed to dive into the life of Edgeworth, and flush out his character, we're not in the courtroom 24/7. Rather, as the title implies, investigating out on the field. However, the game still retains some of the familiar mechanics: press, using evidence to back up your arguments, testimonies, etc. Instead of five tries like in Phoenix's court, Edgeworth gets a green bar up top in the left corner. It's treated exactly the same: each time you get something wrong, you lose a chunk until it's completely empty. It definitely gives you more tries than with Phoenix's exclamation points, but the catch is refilling the bar. When you save, your current bar is carried over to the next chapter (in the same case). It will not refill until you go into another investigation mode, and even then, it has a set amount it refills every time. There's also the introduction of Logic Mode, which is where you must string together pieces of thought and connect them to continue with the investigation. The cases are all interconnected, which makes the game feel very unified. There is a plethora of comedic moments and quite a few touching ones as well. The only issue I had was getting 'stuck' on a couple of areas, but that may have just been me not understanding what was being asked. Oh and the immense amount of magenta...but that's Edgeworth for you! Overall, I enjoyed myself and hope Capcom will release the sequel overseas, as unlikely as that may be. Playing this game made me want to go back and play the others again to relive the nostalgia (since Phoenix is absent). There were quite a few cameos from previous games that fans will know. Investigations was fun and while there were no heated courtroom debates between Phoenix and Edgeworth, this game does not lose that fighting spirit. It's definitely a game fans of the series would not want to miss!Read full review
As an Ace Attorney fan, I got this game as soon as possible after obtaining a Nintendo DS. At the time, my favourite character was Miles Edgeworth, so I was pumped to find out there was a game with him as the star. However, while the overall concept of the game took a different direction from the standard AA games, it had lots of ups and downs and left me with mixed feelings. I think it's fantastic how they gave Edgeworth a more investigative role, but since that's supposed to be Detective Gumshoe's job, it essentially left the poor detective in a role little more than a pet dog following his master around. When Kay Faraday was introduced, I was extremely disappointed, as it seemed as though she was trying way too hard to be another Maya Fey. And Ema Skye already proved that to be a terrible idea (and I don't like Ema or Maya), so Edgeworth got an unnecessary, annoying sidekick... aside from Gumshoe. Some of the other new characters were more interesting, like Shi-Long Lang and Detective Badd, and certain cameos had me cracking up for a long time. The cases were all interesting in their own right, especially given how most of the action was performed through full-body sprites moving around the bottom screen, rather than just scrolling through visual novel-style text like the other AA games. However, the fifth case dragged on and on, never seeming to end, although it honestly should have after the first or second round of questioning. Normally I'm a huge fan of the AA series' soundtrack, but this game's music was mostly annoying, which surprised and disappointed me. Overall I think it's a fun game, and an interesting change of pace from the typical Ace Attorney games, but unless you're out to play/collect all the AA games, it's kinda of up in the air on whether or not one should buy this game. I'd recommend trying out the other AA games first before playing this one, and hope someday Capcom USA localises AAI2 since that one looks far more intriguing than its predecessor.Read full review
Before I bought the game, I was thinking it would be a uninteresting copy of the main series, with just a few changes here and there trying to make it feel new. After I played, though, I regret I didn't buy it right when it was released. The game is so fantastic that it is even hard to think of some faulty aspect to point: - The story is great. It is as cohese as it was in Trials and Tribulations, but with cases that are as interesting as the ones on the original Phoenix Wright. - The graphics are also wonderful. They are way better than in the main series (including Apollo Justice), and the animations also seem more natural. - The music keeps the right tracks, and brings new ones that are also remarkable. In a nutshell, it is a game that is totally worth your time and money. Its quality equals with the Phoenix Wright titles and is far superior to Apollo Justice.Read full review
This game is awesome, If you played the other Ace Attorney games you will love this to! If you don't, this the perfect chance to try it out. The game has references to the previous ones but it can also be enjoyed without having played the others. If you are thinking something like "a game about lawyers? this must be SO boring!" then you should play it...and I'm sure you'll change your mind. It's like a conversational novel mixed with a graphic adventure... with lots of hilarious scenes! the OST is also remarcable, the music perfectly suits the situation at every moment and gives some scenes high levels of EPICNESS!
Any fan of the Ace Attorney games will LOVE this version. It pretty much has the same controls except one HUGE difference: you get to walk around to investigate-- literally. Yep, that's right, you get to actually "walk" around the screen as Edgeworth (in oppose to clicking buttons to move). You also get something called "Logic". This is where Edgeworth can piece together clues to make the case make more sense. Overall, if you liked the other Ace Attorney's, you'll LOVE this game as well (I'm a HUGE AA fan)
As a die-hard fan of Phoenix Wright, I have played nearly every single Ace Attorney game- this has been extremely enjoyable so far and is a must have for anyone who is a fan of the series. Hold it! If you miss out on getting this game then you're going to be "guilty" of making a bad decision, so get it.

A refreshing twist on the awesome Ace Attorney series of video games. You take control of prosecutor Miles Edgeworth as you play through 5 exciting cases. Instead of taking place in the courtroom, the game takes place in and around various crime scenes, as you investigate areas to collect evidence to prove people guilty. You will run into some familar faces along the way including bumbling dectective Dick Gumshoe. I highly recommend this game!! It is a better game that all of the other Ace Attorney games in my opinion!!
