Unfortunately not an “ideal replacement”. Compared to the original Sony branded ones, the foam was too thin and hurt my ears once installed.
You can see in the image the new foam replacement from this store is on top, and the 3+year old Sony foam is below it - big difference in thickness = big difference in comfort.
I had to end up STACKING BOTH the old and new ones in my headphones to get enough cushioning for it to be comparable to original comfort I experienced when I purchased them.
