Jack also spends much of his time lusting after local belle Gwendolen Fairfax (Amanda Redman). Algernon Moncrieff (Rupert Frazer) lives in a similar realm of fantasy, alongside his own mental creation, Bunbury. Algernon's eye is captivated by a girl named Cecily Cardew (Natalie Ogle).     Wilde

    Books are always better if you have patience and imagination, but these films do bring the books to life with the scenery, costumes, and accents of British life and the time period.
