Nice camera with very poor mount and no built-in GPS capability
The mount, where it hooks to the camera can best be described as "cheesy." I can't belive they've got a fat screw interfacing to a plastic slot. It's bound to fail, plus it's hard to make it work at all. Also the box implies that it has GPS capability, but that's not entirely true. It uses the GPS from your smart phone, except that if your phone bonds to your car, like mine does, then the Cobra is on its own, and does not get GPS. In maximum resolution, it records 30 fps, but it's hard/impossible to make out license plates on the resulting video. The unit is small, but with a long, dangly cord, it gets complaints from my wife, every time she gets in the car. Also, the unit hangs too low. I thought I'd hide it up high, behind the mirror, but of course modern cars have black "stipling" on the inside of the windshield for sun shielding, so you can't stick this puppy to that stuff, so you have to hang it below those black dots, so it winds up hanging quite low. I don't know what the answers are to making this a great unit, but as it is, it's sub-par and I can't recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good camera with not so good window mount
The dash camera works great with good features but the windshield suction mount will not stick very long. About 30 minutes and then it drops off. I cleaned the windshield and tried the suction cup dry and moist but it won't stay on.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unreliable
I'm tired of dealing with its unreliable. The faluire rate is 100%. 4 times I needed to see some video and 3 time it had corrupt data and the 4th there was no data on the SD card at all. Also there is no way to easily see the video on anything bigger then the 4 inch screen while in the vehicle. I bought one and after 6 weeks it would not keep a charge. The camera would also drain my vehicle battery down. I have 3 vehicle and this is the only one that I had Problem with. Good dashcam, easy to operate
This is our second Cobra dash camera (855 BT), purchased for an additional vehicle. Our only complaint is the firmware on our second camera needs updating and we cannot update it due to Cobra's servers being down. However, we haven't noticed any problems with the out-dated firmware. Not a good Cobra product
Everything works, except that you have to put the date and time back into the camera EVERY time you turn it on. The memory does not keep the date and time.
