    Pretty and Simple

    I found this cd of Sarah's to be pretty and simple. Not much decoration but a picture of a young Sarah with black and white trees so high on it. I like the music on here as they seem to be classic songs and are not original Sarah tracks. I recommend it to those who are serious about collecting Sarah's music and merchandise since its her first studio album. I had ordered it for that reason because I just found out that she's one that the Pop world missed out on over the years. Pretty and simple, yeah, those are the words for this one. Get it before it goes out of print.

    A sound album, setting the roots for further growth & further heights.

    Sarah Brightman has a great voice, but after listening to all her later albums, this album didn't have the same impact because of the limited piano accompaniment to her songs. It is still a good album but should be heard before hearing any of her later material. It was released on 28 December 1988, in the early stages of her career. The sound quality was excellent, as expected for such a production.

    Welsh diva songbird Sarah Brightman unusually here classically styles very many European folk songs/ballads, trilling and rippling with her deft skill, in multiple languages, but here simply accompanied by piano showcasing her lyric vibrato soprano more intimately than her pop to operatic bands and orchestras. Lovely to hear her without that competition. Charming and uniquely for her acoustic addition to my wide-ranging collection of the divine Sarah.
