      A hidden gem

A hidden gem, a must for true CSN fans, yes Crosby and Nash brought so much vocal magic to the table but Stills was the real powerhouse behind the band. IMHO. (he played all the instruments on the first album) This raucus album shows why he is a master of so many styles, blues, Latin-Salsa, & up against the wall rock. He picked his favorite players for this project, studio or live they were a knockout. Check out Stills playing "Black Queen" solo on youtube, it still gives me the shivers.

    • A great country rock record.

Manassas was short lived, but the few recordings we have are terrific. Their debut album has grown in stature over time, and today is considered very influential in the country rock genre. Recommended.

    • Very collectable side project from Stephen Stills and Chris Hillman.

The LPs were rated VG+ but in reality, they were slightly less than that, there were some pock marks and small scratches on the surface however other than some pops and clicks the did not affect play. Overall, a great bargain for some classic 1972 recordings.

    • Best Stephen Stills album ever

This was a project of Stills to record some songs he’d written. It is a super group IMO with Chris Hillman, Joe Lala(co- founder of Blues Image,Dallas Taylor among others. It was a double LP when it was released and the majority of the songs are top notch. One of my all time favorite albums. It has Rock, Country Rock, a little bluegrass type songs and greatness all the way.

    • Still Holds Up

I hadn't heard this in decades and wasn't sure how well it would hold up but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a shame this band wasn't able to fully develop its potential. It was a very cool blend of talents and styles.
