    Flying from airport to airport," Night Flier " there is no better name for this movie.

    I think it's one of the best vampire movies I've ever watched. It's completely different then any other vampire movie made. Great movie that keeps you wondering what's gonna happen next if you've never seen it before.

    "A darker, grimmer version of Kolchak: The Night Stalker"!!!!

    First, I've never read the original Stephen King story of "The Night Flier". Since I've only seen this movie adaptation of it, that is the only point of comparison I can give. What I seen is this: The Night Flier is basically a nastier, more cynical retelling of the 70s-era television movie "Kolchak: The Night Stalker". Both stories have the same premise: A grizzled reporter is on the trail of grisly murders committed by a vampire. The differences are the level of darkness (literally and figuratively) and the modus operandi of the protagonist and antagonist. Without giving out "spoilers", I will say that there are differences in the milieu, characters, worldview, and settings of The Night Flier and Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
