Notes
Deluxe two CD + DVD edition. Includes the original album and bonus tracks (including the previously unreleased 'Bouree') remixed in 5.1 surround and stereo by Steven Wilson, 96/24 flat transfer of the original stereo master tapes, 96/24 flat transfer of the original mono and stereo mixes of 'Living In The Past' and 'Driving Song', video of the band performing live in January 1969. Presented in the now familiar book sized packaging that includes a 112-page booklet with an extensive history of the album, track-by-track annotations by Ian Anderson, plus rare and unseen photographs. Includes the original album s pop-up book artwork designed by James Grashow. Jethro Tull's second album, Stand Up, marked an early turning point for the band with the addition of guitarist Martin Barre along with Ian Anderson s introduction of folk-rock influences to the group's blues-based sound. Released in the summer of 1969, Stand Up rose quickly to the top of the U.K. Albums Chart, and eventually earned gold certification in the U.S.

    • Stand Up, Jethro Tull !!

Most of the members of Jethro Tull were in place by the live performances of Disc 2. The live disc isn't the best sound recording, but it was 1969. Looking back, I most likely would have stuck with the single disc Steven Wilson remix of this album. I do like the concert footage on Disc 3 however... 2 songs. :)

    • One of the better Tull albums but the sound mix could be better

I expected a fuller sound for a 5.1 surround because I have a dozen other discs in this series and this one dosent quite live up to the others soundwise. But also I have seen $250 pricetag on the same disc so $40 + is a real bargain

    • My favorite Jethro Tull album
