A famous historical locomotive
I am a TCA and NMRA member with a lifelong love of trains. Old 4449 has a storied history, and has been painted and repainted to suit a couple of U.S. historical occasions. I happened to be visiting my wife's son and his family in Portland in Aug., 2018. We saw #4449 at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center, where it is maintained along with other locos that saw service during the first half of the 20th Century. I wanted this loco for my operating HO layout. The sentimental value and the fact that the packaging includes a historical commentary swayed me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

disaster

Motor brush issue
So, this model is an old version of Bachmann 4449's. BEWARE, they do not carry the parts anymore. So, if you need parts like I do, you are on your own. Mine broke just a week after I purchased it and now I am looking for motor brushes to fix it. Found some and waiting to get and see if it works. Update: Now wheels broke.
