      Great tire for desert of mtns

      Nearly like a Maxis Desert IT but with a touch more spacing. Great for loamy or thick dirt as well as desert sand. Stiff sidewall and so far really good at wear. Highly recommend for the desert-to-mtn types.

      Kenda Desert Parker - Best dual sport tire I have found.

      I have tried many different tires on my plated XR650R. Only the Kenda Parker Desert Terrain holds up for me (rear only). I run low air pressure with thin tubes and have never pinched a tube with this tire. I run rock tails all the time. Side walls are a little stiffer than non DOTs. I ran this tire on the LAB2V run (540 miles hard way). This tire hooks up better that any other DOT tire out there. After about 1000 miles the tire was not as responsive in the desert dirt, but still OK on the street. Ran the tire at 1200 miles in wet mountain terrain. The result was very squirrely. I cannot get a full dirt tire to last in desert conditions more than 200 miles. I have torn knobs off on the first ride with other tires. The price of the Kenda is crazy cheap for what you get.       My favorite singletrack tire.

      Great DOT rear tire for serious dirt riding. Works good in sand and rocks. It is a "directional" tire, and I think it works best for what I ride in the "soft" direction. The carcass soaks up a lot of shock in rocky terrain, and the rubber compound is pretty grippy. Knobs haven't chunked.

      Great tire and is very reasonable, Really a good value

      This is a D O T tire and works fantastic at Ride for Research, Big Woods 200, Valley Springs, Bucky, here in the mid West. I will be running it for the first time on the La Barstow to Vegas ride on my XR650L hope to see you there.
