A lot better than a 1933 warmed over up western!
One of our favorite movies. The traditional struggle between the malefactor and the downtrodden victims. Then there was Lassiter!

Riders of the Purple sage
If you are used to movies being nothing like the book they are taken from this will be a pleasant surprise. This movie follows the Zane Grey book quite closely. Excellently done. Ed Harris is good as is Amy Madigan. Tough characters survive in a tough time. Good western movie. Swamp Daddy

Riders of the Purple Sage is SO over the top. Love it.
Zane Grey wrote a bunch of westerns and almost all of them are good stories and suitable for movies. Good story, good actors, nice scenery, a keeper.
