    A MUST HAVE ITEM!

It's Great!!! Plug it in and it's literally ready to go. Your old Hard Drives are no longer just paper weights. I was able to access my 500GB's of Movies, Music and photos off my ancient Windows XP desktop computer without have to spend a ton of money getting my local Computer repair guy to copy the files for me. Plus I can keep my private info PRIVATE.

its OK but all features do not work

this works very well easy to set up but does did not fit many older hard drives the spacing is off on some the IED drives the SATA drives all fit great...in all its really cool for checking those old hard drives for leftover info or for copying large files or games for storage T did not work with my micro SD flash cards or any other SD cards I had laying around for some reason they just don't fit was disappointed with that part but not enough to send it back

  • The device is OK.

It's OK except the big issue I had with it. When I connected the enclosure to my PC (Win7 OS) it tried to install the driver but it failed. It worked on my laptop (which is newer and has Win 10 OS). I tried to find the Orico drive on its site or on-line for that device but Orico didn't have it (strange!!!!). It didn't work out of box on my old Win 7 PC and Orico doesn't have the solution for that (which should be a driver of course that my PC wasn't able to install automatically (which laptop with Win 10 did without any issue). I'm a technical person and I'm in IT software field, even I'm not in hardware business. So, I found the solution and fixed the issue installing the proper driver even Orico doesn't have the solution. But I spent time for that and tried different approaches based on my previous experience with the similar problems. But I doubt that inexperienced person can solve that problem. So, be aware. I guess it's a lottery if the device will work on your PC or not. I put 3* because it didn't work out of box on my old PC. But I fixed that and now it works and I don't have any issue anymore. The device if it works looks good and solid. If you use a newer computers I guess you shouldn't have any issues with it like I had with the old PCI am using.

  • Good product

Works great..arrived on time. The only criticism I have is, wished it supported 2xSATA and/or 2xIDE. The only cloning it does is from SATA to IDE or IDE to SATA. You are out of luck if you want to use it to clone 2 SATA. BUT, I got it for my Android devices and I have pleasantly surprised. Worked just fine with my OTG cable. All devices hooked up to it worked fine on my tablet. Thanks

  • Great idea, but beware it's limited on what hard drives it will read.

I hooked it up to my windows 10 PC and first plugged in a 2.5" sata drive which worked fine. I then moved on to the 3.5" sata drives and none of them worked properly. The drives in question were 3 Western Digital 750GB drives and one 1000GB Barracuda drive. I could see them listed in device manager, and it would tell me the drive size of each, but that's it. No accessing them via windows explorer or via the included PC clone software that came with the docking station. I haven't tried any IDE drives yet but I'm not holding my breath....

  • It works okay.

The power supply was dead out of the box, lucky for me I had another one sitting around. It did read an old SSD I had laying around and I was able to transfer the data to my new computer. Other than the power supply, it seems to work okay.

  • Great Product

I’m very pleased with this item. It is easy to use and set up, no hassle at all. It’s also a great price in contrast to others on the market.

  • Easy, works out of the box...

If you fiddle with PC's, over time you start to collect HDD's and such, especially if you are upgrading regularly. This device allows you to easily utilize those otherwise doorstop HDD's again, and as "portable" storage additions. I opened the box, plugged it in to power and a USB 3.0 jack, and Win 10 recognized it immediately. There are a number of drive connection options. I got it to manage the older 2.5 HDD's (laptop) with the older non-SATA connection. Worked no problem. SATA and all other 3.5 inch drive connections work too. PC recognizes the drive immediately. I had a failed drive that this allowed me to salvage the files off of. So I am very pleased. It's inexpensive and works.
