About this product

Product Information

Join one of America's elite fighting corps and become an Airborne Ranger. Start at the bottom of the ranks and work your way up through the completion of 12 missions in three regions of the world. Before a mission begins, supplies must be dropped onto the battlefield for you to pick up on your way through the mission. Placement of the supplies is key to your survival so make sure they drop in clear areas or they may be destroyed. Then parachute into the battlefield and begin the mission.

Missions vary greatly. Some require you to blow things up and destroy everything in your path. Others require stealth as you attempt to infiltrate an enemy base and photograph top secret aircraft. You have the ability to walk, run, or crawl. Weapons in your arsenal include: CAR-15 assault rifle, bayonet, hand grenades, anti-tank rockets, and bombs that can be set to 5, 10, or 15 seconds. When the mission is complete, call the pick-up plane to come and get you.

My favourite game as a kid on the C64. Just a year or two after Commando this shows what was truly possible on the 8-bit computers.
