    Barnes as artist and victim.

    Barnes' foundation was a work of art in itself? Has the foundation been reduced to a collection of paintings? An overview from the perspective of those who fought the grab. Anyone who has fought the good fight against overwhelming forces and lost will recognize themselves.

    Albert Barnes vs. Philadelphia Museums

    One of the better documentaries I've seen. Very detailed about the disdain towards museums Barnes had and the lengths these museums went through to bypass Barnes' last will.

    Awesome dvd

    I love this DVD. After seeing it, I want to visit the Philadelphia art museum to see their exhibit. Yes, everything was moved there a few years ago, much to the dismay of Dr. Barnes.

    Unbelievable dirty doings!

    The Barnes Foundation was an internationally known teaching institution based in Merion, Pennsylvania. The rich & powerful members of Philadelphia's elite who'd made fun of Dr. Barnes taste & collection during his lifetime...made did not tarry to usurp the collection for 'the common good'.

    art theft

    Coming from Philadelphia, I was partially aware of the background of the Barnes but this film showed the inside politics and underhanded shenanigans that went into stealing this incredible museum from one that Dr. Barnes had thought would stay in its original location and went to his worst nemesis.
