    Great sander!

    The Makita 9403 is the real deal. Low noise and fast sanding, runs nice and smooth. Yes, it’s heavy. It needs to be heavy to take advantage of its power. The tracking adjustment works reliably. Dust bag collects a lot of material and the bag swivels to stay out of the way. Comfortable to operate. Makes big sanding jobs a walk in the park.

    Makita 4" x 24" Belt Sander 9403 NEW

    I'm a big fan of Snap on and Bosch tools. When I found that Bosch no longer manufactured a belt sander and since Snap on does not make one, I began researching other belt sanders. The reviews I read gave this unit a very good rating. I was a bit reluctant about this Makita belt sander but kept an open mind. I've never been particularly impressed with other Makita tools I've used. But based on the reviews, I bought it. I'm very impressed with its quality and power and would recommend it to others. Very good tool. I just may be a Makita convert.

    A beast in a good way

    this belt sander is a beast. Powerful, balanced and a joy to use. Just sanded my maple flooring that was installed and the beast never overheated even after continuous use for hours.. I also have a 40 year old Makita 3 x 21 sander that still works great but this is definitely more powerful

    Worth every penny!

    This sander is AMAZING! It makes short work of sanding rough cut lumber. Before I was using an orbital sander on my rough cut cedar. I was leery that a built sander would leave waves in the wood. Not anymore! You won’t go wrong buying this this sander. Unless you just like to stand and sand for hours at a time.
