Good replacement from the series 1 but I have reservations.
The new series 2 XBox controller is great - I also have the original Series 1 Elite controller. Both are a more solid feel in the hand than the supplied controller that is with the XBox X. However, I would have liked to have seen the series 2 version come with highlighted A, B, X and Y buttons like the supplied controller. Much easier to see if you are playing in a darkened environment. Plus, I am not entirely sure why Microsoft have moved away from not having an interchangeable controller battery. The battery in the Series 2 controller is not removable and needs to be charged via its C type charging connector. Thus over time if the battery performance degrades, I'm not sure if it can be swapped out. However, despite my reservations on the non-removable battery, I still have given the Series 2 Elite controller a 5 Star rating.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great controller plagued by manufacturing faults.
Amazing hand-feel but the controller I received suffers from the face button manufacturing fault that is apparently common to the Elite 2: the hole in the outer shell is too big for the buttons meaning the A button has wiggle room and does not always register presses. Easily fixed by slotting some tape/paper down the side of the button but this is a rather ugly fix and not ideal for a £100 premium product.

Makes such a difference
Once you get familiar with the button layout and your own customisation, it makes such a difference to your game play. I held off so long from buying due to the price however has proven to make me a better player, especially on my favourite game COD. The paddles on the back are the hardest to get your head around as your first instinct is to go for the XYAB buttons but once you do, you keep your fingers on your thumb sticks all the time which is one of the keys to being quicker. There are so many customisable options on the controller but loads of videos on YouTube to help you with that. Elite Series 2 Controller.
What a piece of kit this is. It took me from starting out using only two paddles but worked my way up to all four and I play mostly shooter games. Keeping my left and right thumbs on the left and right movement and aiming makes a match difference on winning.
