These USB accessories offer encryption and password protection to keep your network safe. This Onkyo UWF-1 operates on a 2.4 GHz wireless transmission frequency. This simple connection allows you to play any stored audio or video file on your computer or tablet hard drive. You can use this wireless LAN adapter to listen with headphones or speakers. The Onkyo UWF-1 also allows you to stream music directly to your A/V setup. If you are already using a Bluetooth device, this adapter is fully compatible with it. This allows your audio receiver to even transmit Skype conversations. If you are having a group conversation, everyone's voices will be heard thanks to this efficient adapter. It sends a strong signal to the receiver that can be detected even with multiple other connected devices. Even if your receiver has its USB port on its back against the wall, the UWF-1 will still send out a strong signal.Once you plug it into your receiver's USB port, your home theater system becomes internet-ready. All you need is the IP addresses of the devices that the adapters are connecting to. At that point, you can stream audio files and internet radio from your home network with ease.     Onkyo UWF-1 WIreless LAN Adaptor

    I recently purchased a UWF-1 and tested it with my Onkyo TX-NR616. It quickly was able to connect to my WiFi network. It has great range and worked on both the Front and Back USB ports of my Onkyo receiver. It is easy to connect to Pandora and other streaming services. Sound Fidelity is good, and I much prefer this over running cables! I ran it for 2 days, non-stop, to see if it would need to buffer at any point. It never did. A great buy and good match for most any Onkyo set up. The UWF-1 was easy to set up on the TX-NR616 because I had a Wide Screen (16:9) HDMI monitor screen attached. It might be more trouble to set-up using the receiver's dot matrix display.

    A little piece of magic!

    Works as expected

    I plugged it in, follow the on screen menu and connected it to my wifi. I really didn't want to run an ethernet cable around my room so this was a perfect solution. I first didn't even know that there was wifi available for my receiver until i found this. Glad I did, now I can stream audio again. Works great, no issues so far.
