Perfect for honing HSS lathe tool bits
A nice size for holding in your hand while you apply an HSS lathe tool bit for honing. I find this method makes it much easier to keep the bit applied flat to the stone. Norton quality is terrific. One of these will last a very long time if you don't drop it. Saturate it with mineral oil from the drugstore to keep it from clogging with grinding swarf. Clean occasionally with mineral spirits and re-saturate with oil.A nice size for holding in your hand while you apply an HSS lathe tool bit for honing.
