A little expensive, but excellent value and worth it
Speed is outstanding. Quality of scans very good, especially when set to slightly slower 600 dpi. Super simple, accurate set-up with no issues. Ability to put a stack of pics in and let it go. Software is really excellent for allowing easy organization--really some of the better, simple to use scanning software ever. So much faster than scanning on a flatbed, it's not even a fair fight. Have found no other scanner that comes close, so finally have what we need to scan the thousands of pictures we have that we don't want to lose. We'll also be able to organize our pictures and view them as they were meant to be--not sitting in boxes. Have not seen most for literally a decade or more, so looking forward to it. Also, before I committed to the buy, I wanted to make sure than when we were done we'd be able to use it to scan docs. Absolutely. Comes with software for that, too, and tested great. Just as fast. Bottom line: Excellent scanner, fast speed, and able to keep using long after you've scanned your, your extended family's, and your friends' and neighbors' pictures!
