    Tony Bennet and Dave Brubeck--A Rare Treat

    This Tony Bennett gem found in the archives of Sony Records misplaced under a classical catalog from the same period (1962) titled "The White House Sessions, LIVE 1962, offers us a rare glance at two masters of their craft--Tony Bennett at his vocal height, and similarly Dave Brubeck with his Jazz unit in a rare encounter dated August 28, 1962 in Washington D.C. at the invitation of President Kennedy. It is truly remarkable that it took until late in 2012 to re-discover this vintage session. It makes one wonder how many other "lost sessions" are still to be discovered and transferred to digital format out in "Archeological Musical Land" from many now-forgotten jazz labels. The tireless work of Michael Cuscuna in the 1980's for Blue Note in searching its "vaults" and "unearthing" priceless ...
