Perfect for 1989 Yamaha Virago XV250
Great quality components at a great price. I had a clogged carb that had sat for years... the new gasket, float needle & seat and jet o-ring where a perfect fit... couldn't be happier. I assume this is a universal kit for a couple of different carbs, as i couldn't work out what the spring and a couple of additional o-rings where for, so assumed i didn't need them. This was successfully used to give life to a 1989 Yamaha Virago XV250 motorcycleGreat quality components at a great price. Needs improvement
The bowl gasket is a good fit, as is the needle and seat assemblies. However, the idle mixture screw springs are too long, so that when fully compressed, do not allow the mixture screw tip to fully seat in the passage, causing the initial screw setting spec to be off about 3/4 of a turn. In other words, when the screw is bottomed out, then backed out the specified amount of turns, you will have a richer than expected mixture at idle. The other issue I have is that the brass seat assembly is not supplied with an inlet screen, like the O.E. seat.The bowl gasket is a good fit, as is the needle and seat assemblies. K&L V star 650 Carb Kit
The float bowl gaskets were a perfect fit, unlike some I have used in the past. This kit also included the brass seat with the needle, which most kits omit. The kit price was less than some components purchased individually. Overall, a great value.
