I got this as a Christmas present so here is my review: The focusing mechanism and screw off for the battery chamber both work very smoothly and feel solid. The anti-roll device can be easily taken on or off and fits snugly. This flashlight just feels really good in your hands. It comes with two brightness settings, high (280 lumens) and low (25 lumens). Even the low setting is ample for walking around in the dark. Now for the flaws: 1. The beam is very evenly lit at both wide and narrow angles but not that well focused in the in-between range. 2. The on-off and brightness setting switch is on the end of the flashlight which makes it a somewhat difficult to operate, especially when wearing gloves. It would be much better if it was located on the barrel. 3. The flashlight is pretty useless as a signalling device because of the lunatic brightness switching system. It goes bright-off-dim-off-bright-off-dim-off, etc. when using the momentary on (engaged by pressing the on-off switch partway, before it clicks). It should go bright-off-bright-off etc. and only change brightness settings on a full press of the switch. No idea why LED Lenser chose to do the brightness switching this way--they have other flashlights such as the P7.2 that implement this correctly. 4. Maybe it's just me but $45 seems too high a price for this when comparing it other flashlights from different companies. At least it comes with batteries included.Read full review
