The Ben Hogan Edge CFT iron's were created before Callaway Golf purchased Top Flite and thus Ben Hogan Golf. These are excellent golf clubs. I purchased them before the CFT Hybrids came out, which I also purchased. I love these irons. I can't see why I would ever switch them to anything else. I purchased another set of Ben Hogan CFT's last year on eBay as a backup set. You won't see me or other Ben Hogan fans, spending any money on Callaway equipment. I am a Ben Hogan devotee and everything in my bag is Ben Hogan. I have two sets of the CFT's. I also have the Ben Hogan Radials which came out in the mid 80's. I also use the Ben Hogan C455 Woods which have the Aldila NV graphite shafts on them. I have the Strong 3-13, 3-15, 5-19 & 7-21. These are great woods, which came out in 2005, but Callaway discontinued them in the same year that there were released. Best place to get Ben Hogan CFT and C455 woods are on eBay. A big BOO shout-out to Callaway Golf for basically closing down and not funding Ben Hogan Golf. They dropped sponsoring PGA Tour Golfers and discontinued the CFT's, C455 Woods, etc. They dropped producing the Big Ben Hogan Catalogue which was a mainstay for 25 years or more.Read full review
Having played golf right handed from the age of 14, now 55 and the majority of those years I have been a scratch golfer I am now starting to play left handed and I felt that from my experience of playing Hogan equipment, their reputation and quality of clubs that the Ben Hogan Edge CFT irons would be the best clubs to get me started in my new endeavor.

Like many Hogan players, I appreciate the beauty and traditional look of Ben Hogan golf clubs. Played BH-5 irons for a while and sold them to get the CFTs. My CFTs have steel shafts with #3 flex. They have a solid feel and I actually feel the clubhead as I swing through the ball. They are somewhat forgiving but will let you know when you miss-hit. However, even the off-center hits will go far. My favorite clubs of this set are the E Wedge, 3 and 4 irons. The E wedge just instills confidence around the green. Thought about hybrids but I hit the the 3 and 4 so well, there is no point. The grooves on these clubs are aggressive. They produce good spin but will chew up the ball. Overall, I have been pleased with these clubs and would recommend them to low and mid-handicappers.
Guess I am the real fanatic about this set of Hogan's. I have purchased four sets so far. They are the best for any golfer at any handicap. These clubs are stainless steel with titanium inserts and hold up under much play and abuse. In all cases I have replaced the apex shafts with rifle shafts either regular or flighted and have been pleased with the superior results. The heads can be cleaned up and buffed or left with a satin finish. If they have one drawback it is the gap between the face and the muscle which can collect grass and debris. Do yourself a favor and buy a set of these and make Calloway suffer for not keeping this brand alive.
Very forgiving for a blade, and the ground interaction is great. Absolutely love the look and feel of the clubs as well. Overall I'm very pleased.
