Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in VHS Tapes
I bought ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS in VHS, I love this movie, one of my all time faves, the costumes, the story, the period and the actors, might not be considered by todays standards as the best movie ever but to me it is one of them, the format is vhs, so I was not expecting the quality of a dvd so I was not dissapointed, it shows it's age a little color fading and so on but it is to be expected, if you are a movie buff new or old I trully recomend it the box and the tape are in good condition the tape it self did not skip or warble,i did find a dvd of this movie but it was a bit expensive I can tell you that after years of looking I was very happy to find it and it's MINE!!!! (giddy laughter)
Watched this movie in my Advanced English class about 6 years ago, and I loved everything about it except the fact that we did not get a chance to finish it in class. Now it is one of my all time favorite movies. It is one of my top shelf DVDs It made me want to learn more about the time period, and made me delve deeper into the rich history behind the story. I was inspired to write many papers in college about this time period. (and made many good grades) It is so richly scored that it draws you in with just the music. The costume is nice and extravegant (thank god for spell check) And the acting is superb. 10 out of 10. buy it.
I bought this movie recently because I loved it as a teenager. I thought Genevieve Bujold was beautiful when I saw her portraying Anne Boleyn. Now, as a 50-year-old seasoned and somewhat picky movie watcher, I was astonished at the continous stream of innuendos and sexual overtones to the movie. I didn't remember that. After watching an hour or so of the movie, I had seen enough. I relisted the VHS cassette and hope I get my money out of it.
every thing for the anglophile, outstanding sets, costumes, actors, no comment on historic correctness, just a great movie to watch.
