TI-73 explorer has same functions as TI-83 but a smaller RAM and ROM. It was designed for middle school teaching, but never sold well for that purpose as probably too complicated/sophisticated a device for most teaching needs at that level. It is a good alternative for teaching high school compared to a TI-83 or TI-84 as you can buy 3-4 used for the price of one of the TI83s or TI-84s. I use it to teach Chemistry, where I can also use it with TI CBL2 units and vernier sensors of pH, Temperature, voltage, etc, or Vernier LabPro Interfaces and the same probes. You can load the Vernier Datamate program to run these sensors, as it will load Datamate from either a TI CBL2 or Vernier Labpro onto the calculator, using the provided LINK program.
The reason I would not reccomend is it is outdated technology. But I am a collector of graphing calculators and didn’t have this particular model and style. This 0ne was in great shape and is a nice addition to my collection.
