Lightweight with many leds, no heat emitted like bulbs.
It's a perfect light for finding leaks with tracer dye. It doesn't get hot like bulbs that can burn skin and melt materials that get near it. Great tool for me. Could probably have some fun with it too, but not super bright in daylight under shade, where I use it, but bright enough. To be honest I haven't used it in the dark to see how bright it is, but I'm sure it does what you need it to. Tool trucks sell black light flashlights for $100, which are more heavy duty and waterproof, but for this price, you can't beat it, just don't throw it in the water or run over it, LoL!It's a perfect light for finding leaks with tracer dye. Very bright- but definitely NOT wterproof
The title says "outdoor" and "O" rings for water resistance. It does have one poorly-fitting "O" ring under the battery cap, but that's all. There are no "O" rings around the lens, the front case half, or the switch. If this light got dropped in water it would immediately fail. Very disappointing! I bought this one because of the claim of water resistance. I was going to use it around the pool but I obviously can't do that. The 100 LED UV Flashlight is very effective for killing scorpions.
The scorpions really stand out when you shine this UV flashlight at them! I easily found and killed three of them the first two nights I used this product. Some people have said that the flashlight handle gets hot in use. I haven't noticed that. It feels cool to me. Other people claim that the batteries wear down quickly. It is possible that the flashlight is less bright than when I first put in the batteries. It's hard to tell at this early stage. If it becomes a problem, I might switch to rechargeable batteries.The scorpions really stand out when you shine this UV flashlight at them! If you need a portable black-light flashlight, your search is over. This one is perfect for many uses. It is very bright. You'll need 6 AA batteries (not included). It's very well made...no junky manufacturing techniques here. Although you can use a UV light for many applications, I use mine to find those destructive 'hornworms' on my tomatoes...their perfect green camouflage does them absolutely no good under this black light. Awesome portable black livjt
This flashlight is built pretty tough. The rubber grip is stout and it’s quite bright itself. Doesn’t get hot and does it job very well. I do recommend. It does however take 6 AA batteries but that’s an easy come by.
