2016 album from the folk/rock icon. Fallen Angels is the 37th studio album from Bob Dylan. Featuring 12 classic American tunes written by some of music's most acclaimed and influential songwriters including Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen, Sammy Cahn And Carolyn Leigh the album showcases Dylan's unique and much-lauded talents as a vocalist, arranger and bandleader. The Jack Frost-produced album marks the first new music from the artist since his 2015 release, Shadows In The Night, which also showcased Dylan's interpretations of classic American songs. That album reached the Top 10 in 17 countries, including #7 in the U.S., with #1 debuts in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden and Norway.

    DYLAN ALWAYS A SURPRISE

    I first started hearing the songs on "Fallen Angels" on Pandora. They're good for easy listening - and it's amazing how Bob always makes a song real. It's not what you would have expected - but just Bob Dylan doing what he does.

    Not the best Dylan CD

    Most of the reviews I read before ordering this CD were good. However, I disagree. I know Dylan is a "national treasure ," and I know he's never been a great singer. It works when he sings his own compositions. He is no Frank Sinatra or Bob Wills, who he seemed to be channeling. I listened to the CD once and it was almost painful for me.

    good

    i can see how some people don't like this album, but I'm not one of them. i think it's pretty good and even has some drum parts that add spice to the mellowness of it all. i like jazz so i'm open to his new style which isn't rock. the singing is a little rough but it's Bob so what do you expect. the music that goes with it is great and the lyrics to. he gives meaning to even the covers which i think are 100% of the material. Maybe for fans only but good for me.
