Additional information
Personnel: J.J. Cale (vocals, guitar, bass); Christine Lakeland (guitar, organ, background vocals); James Burton (guitar); Jim Keltner (organ, drums, percussion); Spooner Oldham (keyboards); Doug Belli, Tim Drummond (bass); Jim Karstein (drums, percussion); Jay Mitthauer (drums). Engineers include: Charlie Paakari, Brett Newman, J.J. Cale. Recorded at Capitol Studios, The Complex & Sound City, Los Angeles, California between 1984 & 1989. When TRAVEL LOG appeared in 1990, it marked the end of the longest gap in J.J. Cale's recording career. While the songs are still relentlessly groove-driven, the album evidences a broadening of his approach in terms of production and arrangements. Some of the rhythms are layered with greater complexity and as always, Cale plays with some of the best-suited musicians available. The talents of drummer Jim Keltner, guitarist James Burton, keyboardist Spooner Oldham, and bass player Tim Drummond, among others, contribute to the greatness of TRAVEL LOG. The album also boasts a great variety of musical genre explorations. From the dense "Shanghaid" to the spare and shuffling "Lady Luck," this is J.J. Cale painting his same basic songs with the broadest brush he could find. The album's title is apt, for Cale had clearly been taking in more than Oklahoma in the half-dozen years he'd been away from the studio.

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.
