About this product

Product Information

Big Air is a snowboarding game featuring 30 courses in six countries: France, Japan, Scotland, Switzerland, the United States, and Germany. Game types include the Freeride Race, Freeride Trick, Half Pipe, Big Air, and Boardercross. Freeride Race has you racing against an opponent for the best possible time, while Freeride Trick involves performing tricks for points. Half Pipe has you earning points based on how difficult certain maneuvers are to pull off. Big Air mode rewards aerial tricks, and Boardercross is a race against multiple riders.

The World Tour mode combines all events in a single format. Your objective is to earn a number of points by winning competitions in three difficulty brackets and defeating each division's boss character. A certain number of points are required to advance to the next season, and you'll be tested in random trick-making events such as the Big Air and Half Pipe. By finishing each season, you'll unlock new courses.

The head-to-head mode has you and a friend competing on multiple courses and events for the title of Snowboarding King. Although you can perform tricks in any of the events, points are only calculated in trick-based competitions. Big Air also features over 80 licensed snowboards and apparel from such manufacturers as Palmer Snowboards, Ride Snowboards, and Joyride Snowboards. The soundtrack includes artists Blink 182, Limp, Snuff, Diesel Boy, Leatherface, and the Odd Numbers.

This game is pretty fun at the beginning, but after a little while it gets old quickly. The controls are easy and handling is pretty simple. The gameplay is decently fun all the way around. Good for beginner gamer, graphics are PS1 of course. If you do not get bored quickly you may wanna try this 1 out.
