Ok antenna for very close local!
Ok, after using this antenna for several months now I am updating my review. I've almost exclusively run a 102" whip for 30 years so my comparison is to that antenna. I went with the T-2000 because I needed a shorter antenna. I have noticed no difference in the transmit of this antenna and it tuned easily. The only headache I've had is on receive... I've routinely talked with my friend 58 miles away with a +20 over on the S meter both ways on the 102". With the T-2000 he still gets me at +20 but I can barely make him out at 2 through all the noise. I swap back to the 102" and he's back to +20. SWR 1:1-1 with both antennas, zero resistance ground, center roof location for antenna placement. I've tried a receive amp but the "noise" just got louder and his signal fainter. So...
