Additional information
Personnel: Jon Boden (vocals, fiddle); Benji Kirkpatrick (guitar, banjo, bouzouki, mandolin); Rachael Mcshane (fiddle, cello); Sam Sweeney (fiddle, pipes); Paul Sartin (fiddle, oboe); John Spiers (concertina, melodeon); Brendan Kelly (bass clarinet, saxophone); Andrew Mellon (trumpet); Justin Thurgur (trombone); Pete Flood (percussion). Audio Mixers: Bellowhead; Toby Hrycek-Robinson. Recording information: Gighouse Recording Studio, Leamington Spa. Photographer: Hugo Morris. After the occasional chaos of their first album, live gigging gave Bellowhead a chance to tighten their game. On their sophomore effort, 2009's Matachin, they conjure up a variety of material and arrangements that play to their instrumental and vocal strengths. For the most part, the music is still traditional, but in many ways you'd hardly know it, since stylistically it pretty much falls out of time: sometimes a touch of dark cabaret and sometimes like a New Orleans brass band lurching madly. Jon Boden's voice commands attention, particularly on the creepy "Widow's Curse." There's plenty of fire between the musicians, and although the arrangements can be quite complex, they gobble them up with glee. ~ Chris Nickson

Fantastic seller! My item took longer than normal to arrive but that's due to them sending me the wrong dvd. Not to worry though, I contacted them and they arranged for the correct dvd to be sent out. My item has now arrived and the dvd was in excellent condition (brand new as described) and it was very well packaged. I would also like to say that the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend this seller, thank you so much! The issue with the wrong dvd was quickly rectified .

Book arrived safely packaged in perfect order. Item as described, new. Thank you Rarewaves Outlet. Fascinating book, great addition to my collection. Great price. Would recommended this seller. No communication needed with seller, so don't know what to rate with regards to communication (please dont take lack of feedback on this matter as a negative). Thanks again.

This vinyl is really reasonably priced and I love that it is one of the more unusual colours. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and looks as described. It arrived late, due to Royal Mail's Festive rush, but was dispatched by the seller really quickly. When I contacted them to ask where it was, they replied really quickly with a helpful solution. Such good customer service, so strongly recommend. Really happy with my purchase.
