      Old Time Root Beer Extract

      This was a total impulse purchase. It popped up on my eBay feed and I got curious. I like teas and herbs, and I remember chewing sassafras bark in summer camp. The product is basically unsweetened root beer extract. It's fun added to teas or seltzer. It would probably be really good for cooking, maybe flavoring a frosting or a cake. From what I read on line, it seems to be a big, old-timey favorite in some parts of the country, and those folks rate it highly. Sassafras is also supposed to have medicinal qualities, but one of the active chemicals, safrole, has been removed since it's a carcinogen.

      Have a sip...!

      I was given some Sassafras tea a couple of years ago for the first time - I love this stuff! I don't like to have to 'brew' tea - so, this is perfect... pour in to your level of taste and that's it. I keep this on hand all the time - year round.

      Great product

      I have used this product in the past and was glad I found it on ebay as I couldn't locate any locally. It helps alleviate the pain of inflammation I've been dealing with. It also helps to shorten the lengts of my colds and chest congestion problems.
