The bolt does stick out the bottom slightly. Instructions weren't super clear how to get the bottom part of the mount secured, with the nut. I put the nut in below the bottom piece in a reversed way so that the nut fits in the hexagonal slot in the mount piece. It tightened up fine once I realized that. It felt a bit slow to mount up, but not unreasonable.

Seller reached out to confirm the issue after I posted a negative review about that and offered a partial refund for a revised (more positive) review. Seller seems to be correcting the mistake and will hopefully update this product to fit the description. Not overly fond of review farming though so I m still calling this a neutral situation...
