      Great value foot pump that does the job

      The foot pump frame is sturdy and the large non-slip foot plate works well. The metal screw-on valve connector was a selling point for me since I have used the plastic lever type but these ones always seem to wear out quickly. The metal connector attached to this pump should ensure an air tight connection for years of use. The hose is a useful length too; not too short. The pressure gauge appears to over-read by about 1.5 PSI, when I compared the reading to another digital handheld gauge and a handheld analogue gauge (both of which gave me the same pressure reading). However, the nice feature is that the gauge turns itself on and the back light comes on when you start pumping air into the tyre and switches itself off a short while after pumping. Most digital gauges have to be turned on ...

      Poor quality

      Having purchased one having read extremely positive reviews in the press, I discovered that the pump requires a great deal of effort to use and poor chassis design causes the unit to flex. Poor welds holding barrels in place broke after thirteen months. Having purchased the pump to replace one I have owned for many years I was somewhat disappointed that it lasted so short a time and the retailer was disinterested as the guarantee had expired a fortnight earlier!

      Disappointed - Low price but not worth it

      Item is very cheaply made, one of the plastic securing lugs broke off as I took it out of the box. Frame flexes and the lever arm which is held in by light rivets does not line up with the frame. Gauge is only approximate. Price was low, but overall quality is lower. The pump is perhaps better than nothing for emergency use but no good for regular use. I regret buying it and do not recommend it. RAC have devalued their brand by allowing it to be applied to this item.

      Gauge battery

      When I first tried to use the pump the gauge would not work. When I opened the battery compartment the battery had already been installed, it must have been in there a while as the battery had leaked and caused corrosion in and around the terminals .After cleaning the compartment and installing a new battery it seems to be operating ok .

      Digital foot pump

      Good for price, pumps up quick & gauge seems accurate, only down sides squeaky out of box nothing a squirt of wd40 didn't sort & a bit flimsy got to get foot position right or bends, but overall it does job well
