About this product

Product Information

WHAT IF you could go back in time and change the course of history? WHAT IF the watershed moment you could change was the JFK assassination? 11/22/63, the date that Kennedy was shot - unless ...King takes his protagonist Jake Epping, a high school English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, 2011, on a fascinating journey back to 1958 - from a world of mobile phones and iPods to a new world of Elvis and JFK, of Plymouth Fury cars and Lindy Hopping, of a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and a beautiful high school librarian named Sadie Dunhill, who becomes the love of Jake's life - a life that transgresses all the rmal rules of time. With extraordinary imaginative power, King weaves the social, political and popular culture of his baby-boom American generation into a devastating exercise in escalating suspense.

A special Date when many people can remember where they were when this day unfolded. A very sad day in history.

A very interesting look back at what might have been in history, a very sad day for America and the world.

  • Very happy!

This came very quickly. Plus I thought I’d bought a paperback and it was actually a hardback which looked brand new! Happy days. Not bad for 2.80! Would recommend

  • Started brilliantly then......

First 300 pages are fantastic and you think he's still got it has old Steve! Then it goes down hill from there.I've read every book he's written and most are fantastic, some outstanding but nearly all worth reading apart from this one! And one called Cell which is also poor. You find out later that this story was started in the 1970's but finished recently, for Stephen King fans this will explain itself once you read the book.Possibly the best fiction writer in the world back then but sadly not his old self.Still he's done well to be alive after the accident so fair play to him really.Lets hope he's got another few good books in him yet,Ash.
