SCINTILLATING PRODUCT. RIVETING. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY
This is a dramatised version of a very turbulent and violent period of History - the Wars of the Roses. The main characters being from the Houses of York and Lancaster, their women, Elizabeth, Margaret and Anne. Treachery, betrayal, love and lust are all part of the plot. The production is excellent with attention to detail and authenticity - medieval costumes, armour, weapons and mode of war etc. Obviously, some parts are romanticised as "The White Queen" is based on a novel by Philippa Gregory. A must for followers of English history, especially this period - which is also the inspiration for George Martin's Game of thrones. Maybe a bit bloodthirsty, but those were the times. The product compares favourably to others - e.g. Game Of Thrones, The Tudors, World ... This is a dramatised version of a very turbulent and violent period of History - the Wars of the Roses.
